Pokemon GO Players Beat A Moltres Raid With Just Two People


Legendary raids are supposed to be Pokemon GO's toughest battles, with promotional materials often showing large groups of people fighting a single monster. Turns out, it's possible to down a legendary with just two people.


You'll note that the whole thing was done with fan-favourite counter-pick Golem, with levels in the 30s, CP in the high 2000s, and likely with high IVs to boot. In this case, Golem's rock/ground-type resists Moltres' primary attacks, something that certainly helps when trying to duo a mighty monster. The players have to go through a small army of Golem to defeat Moltres, and by the end, there are only seconds left on the timer. Boushinshi just baaaaarely pulls it off.

Fans predicted this would be possible a while back, but seeing it in action is something else. To think throwing rocks at legendaries over and over again would be this effective!

At the Pikachu Outbreak event in Yokohama, Pokemon GO players have been finding the shiny version of everyone's favourite electric rodent. Shiny Pokémon are rare alternate colour versions, and this Pikachu is a rather subtle variation. You can compare the Shiny on the left with the standard Pikachu on the right. Some even think this Pikachu looks tan! There is also a Shiny Raichu. Pokemon GO's Next Two Legendaries Are Moltres And Zapdos

The Pokemon GO Fest may have been a disaster, but if there was one bright spot to be found in the weekend's events, it was the unlocking of a couple of Legendary Pokemon for folks to catch. Over the next couple of weeks, there'll be two more. Niantic has announced that Moltres will be available between July 31-August 7, and Zapdos will be available between August 8-14. Articuno, meanwhile, will disappear on July 31. (Note: these dates are US time.) As a reminder, here's what you need to do in order to catch a Legendary: As Trainers around the world go out and explore their neighbourhoods in search of Pokemon and Raid Battles, they can keep an eye out for unique Legendary Eggs appearing at Gyms. If Trainers and their team are able to successfully defeat a Legendary Raid Boss, they will have the opportunity to catch a Legendary Pokemon of their own! Pokemon Go Safari Zone Event Details And Dates Revealed

Pokemon Go has had a major last few months, with gyms being overhauled, raids being introduced, and even their first Pokemon Go Fest, though the latter did not go too well. Niantic is looking to keep the momentum going with additional events that are known as Safari Zone events and now we have more details about them. For now, the Pokemon Go Safari Zone events are exclusive to Europe and will kick off on September 16 at Unibail-Rodamco Shopping Centres located at CentrO in Oberhausen, Germany, Les Quatre Temps in Paris, France and La Maquinista in Barcelona, Spain. Each event will provide players with a special in-game medal for attending, as well as special 2 km eggs that are found at the PokeStops at these specific shopping centers. These PokeStops will also have lures on them all day long, allowing players to catch not only normally rare Pokemon like Larvitar and Chansey, but also the usually Australian and New Zealand exclusive Kangaskhan.
